Bayern Munich and Germany legend Franz Beckenbauer has hailed Thomas Muller, insisting that the Bayern Munich striker is one of a kind and what every club needs. Muller has, over the past couple of years, evolved into a more complete player in terms of his playmaking abilities and how he has also added to not only the number of goals he now scored per game but also the number of assists he creates as well.

The striker has improved season by season and even though he does not get enough accolades that he deserves, his club’s former player Beckenbauer has identified his contributions for his team and how he also coordinates play in the attack. Despite the managerial changes that Bayern have had over the years, none of the managers has ever deemed him surplus to requirements and it further goes on to paint just how much of an important player he is to the club.

In the last two seasons, Muller set a record for the most number of assists provided by a player in a single season in the German Bundesliga. And fast forward to the end of one season after (the just-concluded campaign), he broke the record he set the season before. And according toBeckenbauer, the contributions Muller makes to the team are exceptional. The former footballer also added that Muller has established a perfect attacking relationship with star striker Robert Lewandowski, citing that the Poland international striker has the German star to thank for his prolific goal-scoring form.

Muller will be hoping that he can continue his fine form when next season starts, as Bayern Munich will be banking on him to help them in their quest to try and dominate Europe once again, while Lewandowski would also be hoping he can get some more assists from him again next season.
