MADRID PUT UP BALE, MODRIC AND JAMES UP FOR SALE

Real Madrid have put up Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and James Rodriguez for sale as coach Zinedine Zidane plans a reboot of the squad. The Frenchman is seeking to reduce the wage bill of the club especially for players deemed surplus to requirements.

Premier League clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham are bound to be interested as these are players that can add pedigree to their midfield and attack lines.

At some point, there were conversations about the possibility of Bale returning to the North London side if the player agreed to a pay cut and Madrid contributed. However, Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning swung into action, offering the player the most salary ever but the deal failed last minute. Right now, such a deal would likely not happen.

The Red Devils have always been linked with a move for Bale. However, right now Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will prefer a younger player in Jadon Sancho that pushing for the 30-year old injury-prone forward.

The top sides in England might not be positively predisposed to a 34-year old like Modric. He was instrumental to Real Madrid back-to-back-to-back UCL titles. Spurs, if the price is right, might consider him a backup for creativity in the middle.

Rodriguez could get offers from Arsenal, Everton, Chelsea and even Manchester United. He still have a few years at the top flight in him, and has decent experience from Madrid to Bayern and with the national side Columbia.

Zidane is hoping to offload the players and start a push for players like KylianMbappe, Rayan Cherki, Raul Jimenez and Eduardo Camavinga. The performance of Federico Valverde seemed to have halted the push for Paul Pogba. With United open to Valverde, who knows if a Pogba and Valverde switch might be possible?
